CPMS administrators will be monitoring your language and content on your school email account. What you say in email and what you do on the web are monitored because you have a school-owned device. Your Chromebook is not a cell phone. You do not get to use it as a texting device.
The following reasons are appropriate for use of your Gmail at school:
*communicating with a teacher
*communicating with the office staff
*communicating with a fellow student who can help you with a school related question
*emailing a coach for a question about practice or competition
*anything appropriately academic
DO NOT use your Gmail to talk about:
*asking people to come to your house
*telling people they are cute, or mean, or anything non-school related
*what happened last night or over the weekend
*what you're doing in class
*everything else that is not academically related
Failure to comply with CPMS policy will result in disciplinary action and/or arrangements to keep your Chromebook in a secure location until it is needed for an academic purpose only. Let’s all learn to be responsible digital citizens!
